I am a self-taught artist living in South Derbyshire. I like to paint landscapes, birds and animals, particularly when I can paint a bird or animal in its natural setting. I work in several media: acrylics, watercolours, pen and ink, pencil, sometimes oils. I love the versatility of acrylics and much of my work is now done in this medium.
The inspiration for my paintings comes from observing the natural world around me, when I'm cycling, walking and birdwatching, combining sketches and photographs to produce the final paintings.
